NYC Construction Ramp-Up Program

About the Program

The NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS), in partnership with the NYC Departments of Design and Construction (DDC), Transportation (DOT), Parks & Recreation (DPR) and Environmental Protection (DEP), have developed the NYC Construction Ramp-Up Program to prepare NYC-certified Minority- and/or Woman-owned Business Enterprises (M/WBEs) to prepare and successfully compete for Pedestrian Ramp Rehabilitation and other concrete-based and green infrastructure project work throughout the City of New York.

This training program will help M/WBE construction firms understand the requirements of the pedestrian ramp and other concrete-based projects solicited by the City of New York, and how to qualify for this project work and related M/WBE Pre-Qualified Lists (PQLs). Participating firms must have the capacity to work on concrete curbs, sidewalks, and related flatwork.

Program Benefits

The program offers specialized coaching on the requirements for DDC pedestrian ramp rehabilitation and DPR & DEP concrete-based project solicitations, as well as for related M/WBE PQLs. Participating businesses will build capacity to qualify for this specific project work, and for City projects in general, and will increase their probability of being approved for a related M/WBE PQL or being awarded these types of contracts.
